Frequently Asked Questions

What types of services do you offer?

Warren County Play Therapy provides therapeutic services for children ages 2-12 and their families.

How often are sessions?

Sessions will be once a week. As sessions progress, and treatment goals are determined, sessions can be transitioned to every other week. The decision will be made together with you as the parent/client and the therapist depending on progress and present concerns.

Does my child need a therapist?

Maybe the school, or the pediatrician, has recommended a therapist, but you are not entirely sure?

Only you can make this call. Therapists can be helpful to children for lots of different reasons depending on their unique circumstances.

If you are often questioning if your child’s behavior is considered “normal”, meeting with a therapist could be a helpful way to further understand their behavior.

A therapist can be a safe person for children to discuss and process their experiences when they feel like they can’t talk to a parent. For younger children, it can be a safe person to be themselves around, a place where they can learn to understand themselves without judgement.

What do the fees look like?

You can clink on the link above that says “rates” for more information on fees.

Warren County Play Therapy is a small practice with a limited number of available appointments. Please understand that if you make an appointment, you are committing to that timeslot. The full fee will be charged for appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. If it is an initial appointment that is missed, there will be a $50.00 charge prior to rescheduling.
