WHAT IS PLAY THERAPY?

Play Therapy is a therapeutic approach designed for children, allowing them to express their thoughts emotions through play, which is their innate form of communication. Our therapists utilize toys, music, art, storytelling, and movement, rather than just words, to help children navigate challenges, develop coping skills, and explore their inner selves in a nurturing and safe setting. We take into account each child's personality and interests, in determining what type of play therapy is the best fit for them. See the types of play therapy that we use below:

The therapist combines different play-based approaches and activities to meet each child’s unique needs and goals.

Play is used to help the child understand their thoughts, feelings and behaviors.

Therapist understand the child’s world while building connection, insight, confidence, and new ways of coping.
